This all-female production from the Donmar Warehouse gives us yet another reason to make the schlep to Brooklyn. We loved last year’s production of Henry IV but this was transcendent. The dehumanization of a lifetime spent in prison held at bay by the power of the word, the story, the tale.
On a bright note, Judith Clark, whose imprisonment is referred to at the beginning of the play, had her sentence commuted on December 30th.
